Alastair and I have compiled the following prayer requests for both City Centre and South congregations. - Pray for God?s glory to fall on us as a church and to go from us to the nations. - Annual Meeting ? pray for our Church Annual meeting on Sunday 18th April. Pray for God?s wisdom for the Council as they plan for the future and for God to provide the resources (finance and people) we need. Pray particularly for Mark Nelson as he stands for churchwarden. - Rob & Antoinette Klok as they join the South Leadership Team. For Henry and Shirley Baldwin as they step down from leadership after five selfless years of service. - For God?s healing touch for those unwell. Especially for Anna Boersma, Anita Jena, baby Vera. Pray for Eda?s young relative Max whose brain will be operated on in Paris in May. Pray for a safe and successful operation. - Pray for Austin Uzoigwe as he submits his application to the Diocesan Director of Ordinands as the next part of the process of discerning his vocation. - Pray for those who grieve: Andrea & Marisa who's mum's funeral is today. For Jeanine as she lays her father's ashes to rest next week. - Pray for the follow on group from Alpha ? Beta. Pray for God to continue to reveal himself to those attending. - Pray for God?s blessing on all our small groups and life teams. Especially pray for Johan & Kerry's group starting up that people will join, and for the new Marriage Course (mixed Dutch and English) starting in Westwijk next week. - Pray for the follow on to Youth Alpha and for the new team of people taking on responsibility for our youth work in City Centre. Pray for planning and people to minister to the oldest children in South so that we can start a youth programme for them in the autumn. - - For our new babies Ethan and Amy and their families in City Centre, and Eleanor in South and her mum Michelle as she recovers from the birth. - For God to help each of the children in our church to know him and love him and trust him. - For Jenn West the International Student Worker coming from North Carolina in the Autumn. Please pray we will be able to get her a religious workers visa and for our lawyer, Jan de Beij (from Utrecht congregation) who is our contact with the Dutch government that he will know how to do this. He is meeting with the relevant people today. - For Anglican Airport Ministry and Joop Alber's ministry at Schiphol Airport and for the process of making it a joint partnership with the Old Catholic Church. - For Jolanda and Matthijs as they prepare the new website: that it may be an effective way of attracting people to come to Christ Church and in building up our common life. Do also please feed back answers to prayer so that we can be encouraged. Praise God for Marieke Cats having passed her health tests such that she has been able to return to work. This will be a joint service at Christ Church Amsterdam South, Fred. Roeskestraat 94a, 1076ED Amsterdam, at the British Upper School. (There won't be a service at City Centre that day). I attach the annual report and accounts for you to look at in advance of the meeting.
